As students on the University of Mississippi campus prepared for another humongous football weekend, they were also prepping for another festivity, Halloween.
It’s that time of year again. Don’t worry if you’re having an issue picking out a costume. The owners of Partyology of Oxford will gladly assist.
Located right off of Heritage Drive, Partyology has provided the Oxford community with silly costumes for the past three years. The business is owned by Ole Miss alumni Chris and Charlotte Dicus.
With the rush of Halloween and Greek social events in full swing, costumes, masks, wigs and accessories have been flying off the racks.
“Its definitely our busiest time of the year” said Chris Dicus, “but it’s fun because you get to see all the ridiculous costumes people are going to wear.”
With a smorgasbord of selections, people are not always going to go with the classic naughty nurse or zombie police officer. Also, with being in a college town, you never know what kind of costume a customer is going to ask for.
“Just last week a fraternity guy rented a Tinker Bell costume, and his buddies were wearing him out, but he did look adorable,” Charlotte Dicus said smiling.
From a country field party, to your ’80s date night, Chris and Charlotte Dicus have got you covered.
Since Halloween and swap season can only come around once a year, the Dicus family keeps the business up and running by selling the finest of party supplies. On each isle, they have paper plates, napkins, cups, plastic wear and tables all pertaining to a certain holiday or type of event. They also have a great selection of game day party gear to help show your Rebel pride.
“We are sure to carry a lot of blue and red,” said Charlotte Dicus.
But in case you were misinformed, not all of Partyology’s costumes and supplies are “G” rated. They offer a unique selection only to those 18 and older in the Bachelorette Room.
It is one of the best kept secrets Oxford. The room holds nothing but hysterical costumes and party supplies that are not meant for the eyes of the public, but are a hit with college students.
“Every person that goes into the Bachelorette Room always comes out laughing,” Chris Dicus said while chuckling thinking about it.
With the amount of costumes and accessories Partology offers, something will likely grab your attention.
