On Oct. 16, members of the Black Student Union, along with Alpha Phi Alpha, held a rally to bring down the Mississippi state flag. During the rally, protesters from the International Keystone Knights interfered with the format of the rally.
Members from both sides engaged in a heated debate over the state flag, as well as the history of the South. In the end, the flag was officially taken down on Monday, Oct. 26, 2015.
