The Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi hosted its seventh and final Mississippi Walk For Diabetes for the year of 2016 in November. Mary Fortune, executive vice president of the foundation, estimates about 200 people turned out for the 5k walk. The Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi has raised about $200,000 for Mississippi diabetes patients after all seven walks.
