About Oxford Stories

Oxford Stories is a news website produced by students at the University of Mississippi that also serves as a student news wire service. It showcases their work.

Launched in the fall of 2015 as a website where University of Mississippi journalism students could publish their work and share it on social media, Oxford Stories first teamed with The Oxford Eagle and HottyToddy.com, providing exclusive content for both publications. Student stories were reprinted in the newspaper and on the website, respectively. This year, OxfordStories.net welcomed The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal as a partner.

Oxford Stories is updated frequently with stories about Oxford, Lafayette County and Mississippi. If you operate a newspaper or website and are interested in partnering with Oxford Stories to republish student work, feel free to contact us.

Editors who republish work are asked to contact the reporters via email if they have any questions regarding their stories.

Correction Policy: We also strive to clarify any errors. Please contact us within a week of publication with clarifications.

If you have a story idea, email journalism instructor LaReeca Rucker at ldrucker@olemiss.com.
